Poietis’ Next Generation Bioprinting system, a concentrate of advanced technology

Revolutionize your 3D bioprinting with Laser-Assisted Bioprinting (LAB) technology

Elevate the frontier of your research with Poietis’ Laser-Assisted Bioprinting (LAB) patented technology, that embodies a decade of dedicated academic research at INSERM. This groundbreaking and unique technology, validated with more than 40+ cell types, sets a new benchmark for reproducibility, precision and viability in the realm of 3D bioprinting.

How does it work?

The focusing of a laser pulse on a cartridge (composed of an ink film spread on a glass plate) results in the formation of an ink jet towards a substrate on which cell microdroplets are collected. By controlling the physical conditions of the ejection (energy, viscosity…), the volume of the droplets is controlled precisely (~ picoliter).

The cell patterns are obtained by rapid scanning of the cartridge by the laser, which results in the formation of 10,000 droplets per second.

What are the LAB advantages for your 3D bioprinting work?

UNRIVALED
RESOLUTION

Adjust printing resolution by fine-tuning cell concentration and laser beam energy to print ultra-precise 3D cellular constructs.

HIGH
POLYVALENCE

Print with a diverse array of bio-inks, cell types, and materials and the exclusive ability to print cell aggregates.

EXCEPTIONAL
CELL VIABILITY

The nozzle-free LAB approach ensures a 95% cell survival rate. Cells are deposited unharmed, undamaged, and uninjured.

Take the innovation even further with a completely robotized and automated LAB system

The Poietis’ unique automated LAB system comprises a microfluidic cartridge, managed by two peristaltic pumps for media handling and pool cleaning, and an automated pipette on a 6-axis robotic arm for bio-ink homogenization and droplet deposition.

This automated LAB system enables better reproducibility of your bioprinting work and the possibility to print precise patterning of multiple cell types: multicolor printing up to three different cell types!

Benefit from the precision of a high-end 6-axis robotic arm and a built-in microscope

Benefit unrivaled precision & automation to your bioprinting projects with fully motorized robotics. This unique robotic arm enables to handle cell culture plates and to operate bioprinting processes that combine LAB, Extrusion and microscopy.

The built-in microscope completes this fully automated and robotized platform, allowing immediate inspection of bioprinted layers within the biosafety cabinet and enabling printing on selected areas of your substrates thanks to ViewPrint™ software.

Boost your bioextrusion with a unique Laser Assisted Bioprinting system

Poietis has chosen to combine the best bioprinting technologies, the laser, with the most conventional one, the bioextrusion, in a single platform named NGB, to cover all research and clinical applications with a high-end system.

This modular platform aims to give tissue engineers and researchers greater freedom in the choice of biomaterials and hydrogels and greater versatility in their research and development.

This unique and revolutionary system is patented by Poietis, and the fruit of more than 10 years of research.
